Work/life balance is the top priority for Gen Z and millennials when choosing an employer, even with recent trends showing a move towards more on-site work through return-to-office mandates. These changes have resulted in varied outcomes while the desire for flexibility persists, boosting interest in non-traditional employment models like part-time positions and job-sharing.

Worth mentioning that The Washington Post also covered this topic reporting that top talent left when return-to-office mandates increased — Ordered back to the office, top tech talent left instead, study finds.

Moms First Summit in New York Focuses on Workforce Challenges for Mothers and Employer Responsibilities
The inaugural summit addressed the high costs of child care and the absence of paid leave standards, issues that have driven women out of the workforce, spurred local policy changes, and could hinder employers who fail to invest in these areas. Jenna Vassallo from Parentaly said it best - we must work together to force change for mothers and caregivers.
